Granite Baptist Church: Media & Social Media Guidelines
Our Commitment
Granite Baptist Church shares photos, video and stories to encourage our community and show what God is doing in our ministries. We do it with care for every person pictured, especially children, and with content that is modest, truthful and Christ-honoring.
Photos and Videos at Church
We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel at home. Here is how photos, video and livestreams work at Granite Baptist Church.
Notice at our Doors
Signs at the entrances to our auditorium and grounds let you know that photography, video recording and live streaming take place while you are here. Entering signifies your consent to the possibility that your image may appear in our live broadcasts and promotional material. We do not collect photo release forms at church.
Removal on Request
If you would rather your photo, or your child's, not be used, contact us and we will remove it from our website and official social channels within 5 business days.
Children's privacy. We do not publish children's last names, schedules, addresses or other personal details, and we do not post news of illnesses, deaths or other sensitive family matters without the family's permission.

Modesty
Photos and video follow a modest standard. At water events we show group and activity shots rather than close-ups, and anything that doesn't meet the standard is not published.
Livestreams
Our services focus on the platform and wide views of the room, and we avoid close or lingering shots of individuals, especially during prayer and moments of response.
Our Events
Only designated staff and approved volunteers photograph on the church's behalf. Parents are welcome to take photos of their own family. Please don't post photos that clearly show other people's children without their parents' permission.
Our Social Channels
Our official channels are Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. Content on these channels is reviewed before it is posted.
Community Guidelines
We welcome respectful conversation. We may hide or remove comments that are abusive, hateful, explicit, spam or solicitation, or that share personal information about children. We don't remove comments simply for disagreeing, and we may reach out personally when a comment calls for a pastoral response.
Staying in Touch
For prayer needs or private matters, please contact the church office directly instead of commenting publicly.
Music, Graphics and Scripture
What we play, show and quote matters as much as what we film. Here is how we choose the music, graphics and Scripture in our content.
Licensed Content
We use music, images and graphics only when we hold the proper license or they are royalty-free for this use.
Scripture
Scripture we quote is from the King James Version.
Tone. Our content aims to be encouraging, family-friendly and Christ-centered. Our official channels do not endorse political candidates or parties.
