Reopening Church

Greetings Granite Family!

I pray this letter finds you well and that God has brought you through these very difficult days. He has certainly been faithful to us and we thank Him for His continued goodness and grace in our lives.

Let me give you an update on several important procedures  and guidelines for the re-opening of worship together.  These are all based on the Directive letter that was sent to us from the County Executive and Health Department office.

1.

Effective Friday, June 5th at 5 PM, churches are now open in Anne Arundel County!  We are now free to worship and conduct church services at a 50% capacity per service.  We will resume church services immediately and look forward to seeing you again!

2.

This Sunday, June 7, we will hold services at 9 AM, 10:45 AM and 6 PM. Wednesday night services will be held at 7 PM.  This will be our Service schedule for the month of June.

3.

As per the County guidelines, we will maintain social distancing, and masks must be worn indoors by all present. We will have masks available for those who need one.  Pews are marked with six foot spaces, and a six foot space must be maintained by all worshippers at all times.  Families will sit together six feet apart from the next family or individuals.

4.

Entrance areas will be marked with six foot spacing so please observe these while entering and leaving the building.  The Auditorium, restrooms and hallways are the only facilities open at this time.  Exiting will be done by rows at the close of each service.

5.

Sanitizing stations are located around the foyers and hallways.  Please use upon arrival and departure as needed. The pews will be wiped down and sanitized between each service.  Restrooms are available and please no more than two occupants at a time.  Six foot marks are on the hallway floors should any lines form outside of restrooms.

6.

No child care, nurseries or children’s church will be provided, so you may sit with your children and remove them if necessary should any needs arise.

7.

Water fountains will not be operable at this time, so please bring your own bottled water if needed.

8.

We will not be taking temperatures, but please monitor your health and your children’s as well.  Should you have any health concern, fever or illness, please remain home until any conditions clear up.

9.

Live-streaming and Facebook live will continue for all services for those who cannot attend or have concerns about public worship.

10.

EVERY ONE needs to refrain from hugging, handshaking and personal contact as much as possible.  Please be considerate of others and of the Health Dept. guidelines that are in place.

These guidelines will remain in place until any further direction is given from the pulpit and email.  We are planning some special events for Sunday school Classes over the next three weeks and we hope to resume Sunday school, Youth and Children’s Ministry in the month of July.

With this note I want to thank you for your faithfulness and cooperation over the past two months.  This has been an extremely strange and trying time but God has been faithful and so have you.  The testimony of Granite Baptist Church has remained strong and true, and you are each to be commended for your steadfastness in Christ.  What a blessing to be part of a Rooted church family!

Thank you in advance for cooperating in these matters and encouraging others in the same.  Your questions, concerns and suggestions are very important to me, so please do not hesitate to call, text or email me at any time.  Until Sunday may God bless you richly and I look forward to seeing you in Church!

Sincerely in Christ,

Pastor Lou Rossi, Jr.
