ATHLETIC AWARDS BANQUET
Tonight is the athletic awards banquet at 6:00 pm in the GBS Gym.  All that attend must purchase a ticket, including the team members and their parents. The cost of a ticket is $12.00 per person.   The banquet will be catered by the Olive Tree and the menu includes rigatoni pasta, homemade meatballs, chicken Alfredo, oven-baked lasagna, baked chicken parmigiana, salad and bread.  Thank you for your support of our GBS athletes.

NO SCHOOL: MEMORIAL DAY
Please note school will be closed Monday, May 28th in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.

ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY:  TUESDAY, MAY 29th 
Our annual elementary field day will be held on Tuesday, May 29th from 9:00 – 3:00 at our GBS soccer field.  We need volunteers to help with running the games, timing, preparing the awards and distributing the food.  This year we are pleased to offer a Subway box lunch for our students and parent volunteers for the price of $5.00 each. Each box contains a 6” Subway sub with chips, drink and a cookie.  Please fill out the attached sheet to indicate what you want your child to eat for lunch.   If you would be available and would like to help, please complete the attached form and return it to the School Office no later than Friday, May 25th. 

FINAL EXAMS – TUESDAY, MAY 29th – FRIDAY, JUNE 1st
The final exam schedule has been distributed to all secondary students.  Please make sure you turn in the Parental Permission form for any exam exemptions.  Please note the scheduled graduation rehearsals on Thursday and Friday.  All Band, Orchestra and Choir members are required to rehearse from 12:00 to 2:00 on Thursday.  All Band and Orchestra members are required to rehearse from 11:30 – 12:45 on Friday.  All Band, Orchestra and Choir members are required to perform at the graduation ceremony.

LUNCH ROOM CHARGING
Due to the end of the school year fast approaching, there will no longer be “charging” allowed in the lunch room. Please be sure that you send your child in with a lunch or the appropriate amount for their lunch order.

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS
Please note our School Office hours for the summer will be Monday through Thursday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and Fridays 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  We will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th. 

END-OF-YEAR AWARD CEREMONY – JUNE 1st
All parents are invited to attend the award ceremony on the last day of school, Friday, June 1st.  The elementary award ceremony is at 8:30 am and the secondary award ceremony is at 9:45 am.  Dismissal on Friday,
June 1st will be at 11:00 am.

SENIOR GRADUATION – FRIDAY, JUNE 1st   
Everyone is invited to attend our Senior Graduation Ceremony Friday, June 1st at 7:00 pm.  We are still in need of a few more parent volunteers to help with the Senior Graduation Reception.  If you would like to volunteer to help, please call the School Office.


MEDICINE
If your child has any medication in the School Office, please be sure to pick this up before the end of the school year. This includes all inhalers, EpiPens, prescriptions, etc.  Thank you!

LIBRARY BOOKS
All library books should be returned to the school library by Friday, May 25th.  There is a $4.00 charge for any lost library book.  Your child’s report card may be withheld until all library books are either returned or paid for.  Thank you.

LABELS AND BOX TOPS
Congratulations to the 1st grade class for collecting the most Box Tops and to the K3 class for collecting the most Campbell’s Labels.  Both classes will be treated to an ice cream party. 

PARKING LOT SAFETY
Parents, we are once again making this plea:  Because of children walking to the lunchroom and the playground, driving in through the exit end of our parking lot is prohibited.  The speed limit on our parking lot is still 5 mph.   This is for the safety of all our children.  Thank you!

SUMMER SCHOOL EXTENSION PROGRAM
Granite offers our school and church family a summer extension program. This year our summer program will run from Monday, June 11th – Friday, August 10th.  We have sent a registration form home with all our current families. Even if you do not have a need for summer child care service, please promote this opportunity to your friends and family.  Please contact the School Office at 410-761-1118 if you are interested.
